Textiles of Indonesia The Thomas Murray Collection (ed) Prestel, 2022 RRP: $82.89 hardcover, 556 pp, 380 colour plates, additional colour details, historic photographs, maps and drawings. Since the mid 1970s when he first ventured to Indonesia, Tom Murray has had an abiding interest in ethnographic art, in particular textiles and tribal sculpture.

He is an inveterate traveller and has authored numerous scholarly articles and seven books and catalogues.

He likes the notion that ‘every object has a story’ and his book has been aptly described by Tom himself as ‘his life’s work’...
