3 August 2022 Visit to the Embroiderers’ Guild NSW Sixteen TSG members enjoyed a visit to the Guild’s collection in conjunction with the Festival of Goldwork exhibition.

Members were met by Sue Gower, the collection’s custodian, and Wendy Schmid, long-time Guild member and also one of the three founding members of TAASA’s TSG.

After morning tea, members viewed some of the Guild’s extensive embroidery collection including a Chinese child’s collar from the early 20th century embroidered with protective symbols and a bride’s heavily embroidered wedding costume from the Nuristan Province of Afghanistan...
