Russell Howard Y antra cloths are a material expression of the religious beliefs of the Thai.

Although found throughout Thailand, the tradition of making these cloths seems to have flourished more in the north from where a wide variety of old hand-drawn cloths have survived as well as from the neighbouring Shan State in Myanmar.
