Shaha Parpia T he Mughals, Islamic rulers of Central Asian Timurid descent, were one of the most influential of the world’s great dynasties who ruled over large parts of the Indian sub-continent from 1526-1858.
Territorial expansions during the reign of Emperor Akbar (r.1556-1605) resulted in the integration of a multi-religious/ethnic populace into a single political system.
South Asian and Persian cultural traditions and artistic styles hence merged in the Mughal court...
