Josefa Green T AASA members who attended our half day seminar in May 2018 Travelling Edmund de Waal’s White Road: the development of porcelain in China and Europe will recall Steve Harrison.

A ceramicist for over 47 years who trained with Peter Rushforth and Shiga Shigeo, Steve entertained us with his grand obsession of producing porcelain from single sourced local material and his travels to the few sites around the world where potters work in this way.

Steve generously brought many of his own porcelains to share with the group. Steve and his partner Janine King were some of the many victims of the dreadful fires, in this case at Balmoral, which swept through NSW just before Christmas last year.
