Jim Masselos S hahzia Sikander’s brilliant recent exhibition at the MCA surveyed her work from her beginnings in Pakistan in the early 1990s through to recent creations in the USA, ending with a mural painted at the MCA.
This was not her first showing in Australia as she was in the Third Asia-Pacific Triennial at the Queensland Art Gallery in 1999.
Her art has developed along with her international recognition: she has a formidable list of solo exhibitions and in the last two years has shown in Dublin, Philadelphia, New York and Rome...
