Islamic Textiles: A collection 14 November 2017 Stephen Menzies, a Sydney based lawyer, opened up his trunk full of Islamic textiles and delighted members with an in-depth exploration of motifs and techniques used at the Safavid and Ottoman courts.

Interestingly these motifs form the basis of current textiles designed and used in contemporary Islamic practice in Sumatra.
