Yifang Cui S otheby’s Hong Kong issued a press release on 8 April 2014 on the conclusion of its Fine Chinese Ceramics and Works of Art Spring Sales.
The headline stated The Meiyintang Chenghua "Chicken Cup", sold for HK$281.24 million/ US$36.05 million to the Shanghai Collector Mr Liu Yiqian', followed byWorld Auction Record for Chinese Porcelain’ (Sotheby’s online, accessed 8 July 2018).
Meiyintang is a famous European collection now partly housed in the Rietberg Museum, Zurich...
