Judith Cameron R esearch into textiles is currently undertaken within a range of academic disciplines, including anthropology, art history, museology, phonology and archaeology with each discipline employing very different theoretical perspectives and methodologies.

The methodology chosen by researchers is not only contingent on their respective backgrounds but also on the available data.
