ALL FIRED UP: Peter Rushforth, potter 18 July 2013 Members of the TAASA Ceramics Study Group were privileged to be offered a private tour of this stunning exhibition held at the National Trust’s S.H. Ervin Gallery: the first major retrospective of Peter Rushforth’s work since 1985. We were welcomed by the Director of the S.H. Ervin Gallery, Jane Watters and then taken through the main aspects of Peter Rushforth’s work by ceramicist Ann-Marie Jackson. Her talk ably summarised the main influences on Rushforth’s work and how this developed over time; it was particularly helpful in outlining the different techniques and materials which Rushforth used to achieve his remarkable pots. – TAASA Review September 2013
