An elegant Sanskrit and Balinese askara inscription on this cloth identifies it as having been used as part of a Tawur Agung Panca Bali Krama ceremony that occurs every decade as part of the centennial ceremonial cycle Eka Desa Rudra which occurs at Besakih, mother temple of Bali on the sacred Mount Agung in northeast Bali.
