EAST TIMOR Heritage and Culture of Timor-Leste ­ Symposium Casa Europa, Dili 14-17 October 2009 An international symposium examining the culture heritage of East Timor.

National and international experts on culture and cultural heritage management will speak including: Joanna Barrkman, Senior Curator from the Museum and Art Gallery of Northern Territory on MAGNT’s involvement in the preservation of East Timor’s cultural heritage; Professor Tony Fry, Queensland College of Arts, Griffith University on creative industries in East Timor; Ros Dunlop, from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, who has recorded much of the traditional music of East Timor, and Professor Amareswar Galla, Queensland University on the relationship between East Timor and Southeast Asia.
