I n October 2008 I spent two weeks in Jingdezhen, China, hoping to meet Takeshi Yasuda who runs the Pottery Workshop there.

I was interested to meet the man who was born in Japan, lives in England and is now managing the Pottery Workshop and Experimental Sculpture Factory in China.

Yasuda says that he is `one bloody lucky potter’, referring to the opportunity to be part of a revolution overseeing the establishment of an exciting enterprise offering residencies to international artists and the opportunity to work with some of the most skilled makers in the world.
