TAASA VICTORIA – TAASA Review March 2008

End of Year Party 11 December 2007, Victorian Writers’ Centre, Melbourne Music provided by guitarist Benedict Clemens, food and drink prepared by the committee and the spirited auctioneering by Ann Roberts all contributed to a most enjoyable evening for TAASA Victoria members.

Tea merchants David and Pascale of Larsen & Thompson supplied an array of exotic teas for tasting and purchasing, as well as donating a wonderful hamper of teas for the auction. The committee is most grateful to all those who attended and to members who generously donated a wide range of interesting items.

The auction was a great success and the proceeds of over $1000 from the evening will greatly assist in staging a calendar of events planned for 2008. TAASA sincerely congratulates founding member and past President Jackie Menzies, who recently received an OAM for ‘services to the visual artsthrough the study, preservation and promotion of Asian Art in Australia.’ Jackie is head curator of Asian Art at the Art Gallery of NSW. ...
