FRANCE Hokusai (1760-1849) Musee Guimet, Paris 21 May – 4 August 2008 The exhibition will include Hokusai’s wellknown prints (nishiki-e) and also more private editions (surimono).
The exhibition will also present preparatory drawings (hanshita-e), sketches and a few paintings (nikuhitsu) that provide deeper insight into his oeuvre.
