Haema Sivanesan C anada’s first gallery of South Asian culture, the Sir Christopher Ondaatje South Asian Gallery, opened at the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) in Toronto earlier this year (February 2008).
Named in honour of the distinguished financier and publisher Sir Christopher Ondaatje, the South Asian gallery consists of nine thematically organised `clusters’ showcasing the wide range of the ROM’s collection.
