Compiled by Tina Burge ACT Myth + Magic – Art of the Sepik River, Papua New Guinea National Gallery of Australia, Canberra 7 August ­ 1 November 2015 Myth + Magic brings together pieces from the Sepik River that are held in Australian collections and the National Museum and Art Gallery of Papua New Guinea.

The exhibition features sculptures, masks and other objects made for ritual and performance purposes in a time when spirits and ancestors were integral to daily life.
