WEFT: Textiles and Travels in Central Asia
Alexandra and Leigh Copeland have travelled (and lived) extensively in Central Asia from the 1970s to the current day, buying textiles, jewellery and other ethnographic artworks to bring back to the Australian clientele of their business ‘Weft’. During their travels, they took photographs of the many fascinating people and places they encountered, which now illustrate their perspective of a rapidly changing region.
Please join us for a slideshow and talk by the Copelands, which will be held directly after the final viewing of Leonard Joel’s upcoming Asian Works of Art auction.
