Towering above the once forbidden city of Lhasa in Tibet stands the magnificent palace of the Dalai Lamas - the Potala. In this lecture we will look at the story of this great citadel and its place in Tibet’s dramatic history.

Chinese belt toggles, known as zhuizi, are small carved ornaments hung at the belt as a counterweight for pouches or cases used to carry items of everyday use such as medicine and money. Over 80 toogles are on display.
