Join us for an exciting program of events at the upcoming OZASIA Festival in Adelaide . The TAASA program will run from the afternoon of Thursday 8 November to lunchtime Monday 12 November, including a special viewing of ‘Edo Style: Japanese Art from the AGSA Collection’ at the David Roche Foundation.
The TAASA OZASIA program includes:
8 – 12 November 2018
- A welcome dinner on Thursday 8 November.
- Viewing of the David Roche Foundation collection and a tour of their special exhibition Edo Style: Art of Japan (1615-1868) with Curator Russell Kelty.
- Viewing of the AGSA exhibition Isle of the Gods with Curator James Bennett.
- A walking tour to various pop-up tea gatherings participating in the Second World Tea Gathering (see TAASA Review, vol. 26, no. 4, Dec. 2017, pp 22-23)
- Attendance at book launch of Samer Akkach’s edited volume ‘Ilm: Knowledge, Science and Art in Islam and related half-day symposium Love from
- Damascus: The Eight States of Devotion.
- Viewing of a private collection.
- Talk by Martin Polkinghorne on his Angkor-related research.
- The tour also coincides with the Jaipur Literature Festival (9 – 11 November). Apart from 8 November, evenings are free, so make your own flight, accommodation and performance bookings to attend OzAsia and other events. (www.ozasiafestival.com.au).
