TAASA QLD will host this weekend event that will welcome TAASA members from across the country to enjoy the 10th Asia Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art (APT10). Included will be:
- APT10 tour led by Tarun Nagesh, Curatorial Manager of Asian & Pacific Art, QAGOMA on Saturday (starting 11am and finishing 3.30pm)
- Celebratory dinner hosted by TAASA QLD Convenor James MacKean on Saturday night featuring musicians and a tiger related quiz
- Seminar organised by TAASA Qld from 10am-12:00pm Sunday. Confirmed presentations are: Japanese Kintsugi gold lacquer repair technique; Mokuhanga woodblock printmaking; Indian Shrinathji painting, and a viewing of selected objects from a Myanmar focused collection
- A visit to the Nepalese Peace Pagoda in South Bank parklands on Sunday after lunch.
A detailed program will be sent to confirmed participants.
Cost includes tours, lunch on both days and dinner on Saturday night. All costs and arrangements for accommodation and transport will be the responsibility of participants.
