This lecture online looks at how the Asian collection was re-configured in the new galleries in 2019, and the curatorial opportunities that arose from working with different spaces and new ideas.
The curator of the China Gallery at the Chau Chak Wing Museum, Dr Shuxia Chen, will show us this exhibition which celebrates the dynamic spirit of paper and its place in Chinese history, thought and art.

Leszek Galezia has generously offered to open his home to TAASA members to view his extensive and impressive collection of antique and contemporary Burmese lacquer betel boxes, offering vessels and storage containers; Buddhist statues, shrines and manuscripts; textiles; silver lime boxes and ceramics – amongst other objects.
